The society we're living in is extremely far from our natural way of existing and living. So far that, not to sound too pessimistic, it's toxic in many ways. Once you've left school, where everyone has to serve their time and are banded together in a common experience for years on end, you are pretty much on your own and the conditions for forming meaningful friends are few and far between unless of course you make it your mission to find those conditions for yourself.
