She said that she had just finished dinner with her family, and that she had no plans. I asked her if she minded waiting a bit for me to get off so we could catch up, and she said sure.  When I got off, we walked over to a little patio at the restaurant next door. We sat on the ground under an awning, and it began to rain. We sat there and talked, laughed, cried for 4 hours.

I apologized for hurting her, for throwing away our friendship, and for just being immature. Our friendship was back. And only then, did I realize how much I had missed it. That summer, we spent almost every day together, most of the time with other friends, but always together. It was the best summer of my life. That August, I met my future wife.

That's another story. But I'll never forget that summer. Thank her for all of the wonderful times. Apologize for anything you might have done to fuck it up. And if you really care about this person, stay friends. It's worth it. The first day of the harvest cutting season, for workers relying on such works for their livelihood.

Then the next leap forward was a game called pyramid, where you could now also go up and down as well. High school is full of drama, stress, and sometimes anxiety/depression. There are some fun parts of high school such as parties, hanging out with your friends, driving for the first time, breaking the rules.

These instances come and go and you will never be able to get them back. That’s only one small sliver of high school. The main part of high school comes from the drama with your friends or even teachers, stressing about tests, grades, and colleges, and struggling with your self-esteem. In high school you will have drama.

It’s inevitable but you have to look past it and realize that this will only last for a brief moment. The stress culture is as bad as it sounds. Many kids have a lot of pressure put on them from their family to get good grades to get into a good college. This is understandable, but some schools or students take this way to far most to the point where it is damaging their lives.

Then comes your self-esteem/depression. This will only happen if you choose to let it happen. Don’t get caught up on what other people think of you, just forget about it. However, it does get a bit better in senior year where it really does become the best time of your life. High school is kind of just a grind for 3 years and half of your senior year.
